Backyard chickens blamed for salmonella outbreaks. Do not snuggle with them, CDC says.

Well...I've heard tell of city folks who got books on keeping chickens...and of course their rug rats think chickens are cute. And to cuddle them like you might a puppy.

Birds, all birds, tend to carry diseases. "Lousy" - infected with louse, with bird lice.
